Ultimate goal, forward progress and be better than you were yesterday. ✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨
We are asked over and over again how Allura broke free of her mental block from tumbling. Allura is a very shy little girl when you first meet her. Ultimately, she had to find someone she was able to bond with and who could break her free of her own self doubt and who she could trust completely to be there for her when she needed them most. Never once did her coach say he would spot her and trick her into doing a skill without her agreeing to do it unspotted. Steady progress, was the goal.... and although there were some setbacks along the way we always encouraged her to keep a positive outlook.
Additionally, we also had her try new things and made sure she was having lots and lots of fun. We made sure to alleviate her stress and to encourage her that one day it would all just come back easily without effort. Along this journey to help her break that mental block, she has since found joy in swimming again (her original sport) and has found a new passion for Acro. All these things helped her learn to let go, step outside her comfort zone and be okay with not being 100% perfect.
She has transformed into a happy go lucky little girl who is also extremely dedicated, focused and has an incredible drive to improve.
We are so incredibly thankful for the continued, amazing support and encouragement Allura receives from this account. From her cheer gym and coaches, her tumble gyms and coaches and all her friends and family. We are in awe of how many continue to follow her journey.
With extreme gratitude we are humbly blessed.
