Ive got lots of new competitors coming through the studio doors and one thing that always comes up in conversation is the expectations of their first competition...my advice would be to go with realistic goals.
Initially i was telling anyone that asked that i was going to win my first comp...I DIDNT EVEN PLACE 🤣
From my own experience i learnt very quickly not to have unrealistic expectations; i knew i had a long way to go and it took me THREE years to get my first win.
Squats @ 105kg, 115kg & 120kg then some rdls to try and build some sort of hamstrings 🙄
Ended up doing 2 sets @ 120kg as I wasn't happy with how the first looked on depth 😂 so could've maybe pushed a little more buuuut pretty happy with how these felt 👌🏼 2 weeks out from comp 🕺🏼
