Andromeda, I see you!
One of the many things that fascinate me about the night sky is that essentially, it's a view into the past! Consider this: light takes 8 min from the sun to reach earth. When you look up at the sun, you are looking at it how it was 8 min ago. Now...expand this idea. Every star, every galaxy...millions and billions of light years away! That night, I was looking at Andromeda from how it was 2.5 million years ago!! On the other hand, in 2.5 million years, someone in Andromeda will see me looking at them from @firstname.lastname@example.org @columbia1938#FindYourNightSky

A neat little experiment I wanted to try called the animated portrait. Love the way some aspects stay still while others continue moving. The canola fields in Alberta provided the perfect scenery for my first one of these too!
