📍L a V e n t a n a, Puerto Rico
This was one of my first international adventures! Is a large cave situated on a top a cliff and overlooking the Río Grande de Arecibo valley.
To get to this view, you must first go down to a cave, where you have to make sure not to disturb the residents...the bats. As it was expected, once I was down and all pitch black, I turned my flashlight on but not before pointing it to the ceiling. 🗣- RUN - my brother in law screamed! Dozens of bats were flying in circles, I think was doing the same but running- as instructed.
4 mins later, I saw a light from the end of the tunel; I followed it and got to this AMAZING view.
I waited a while until eveyone left , sat there and understood why is called "La Ventana" / " The Window". See, to open your mind is like open a window, It lets the fresh air in! That breeze touched me and so did the sense of adventure! From that day on, I have been wandering how big my home (the world) is & who I am sharing it with!
So, see you soon! #leavethedooropen 😉
