This is our #BrendanJoseph#WicklowMountains#IrishMade#SilkScarf, an encapsulation of a story of a journey. (We’ve also woven this story into a pocket square and bow tie, with neckties coming out of prototyping later this year)
From when you escape the city, rising steeply up through the beautiful foothills into the quaint village of #Enniskerry, and the Walled Estate of #Powerscourt, to when you reach the crumbling heights and pass through gaps into the high plains, you’re surrounded by this story in a 190 square mile wonderland of olive-green and gorse-grey peppered with hues of iron and wine. These ancient peaks lie immediately to the south of the city, and yet Dublin feels faraway hidden behind the Sugarloaf Mountain and its 60 sibling hills (all of which are actually taller but flow and crease as one). Swathes of gorse and grass are broken up by shimmering slivers of granite - weather-worn into smooth streams and crunchy paths, both bordered by buds of burgundy and rust, all under a sweeping stripe of cool grey sky.
We’ve walked the well-worn paths of the #Wicklow Way, faraway hills wait hidden behind heavy grey fog to be discovered on your next adventure. Lakes and legends fill the valleys between the peaks, beneath the mist and weathering rain.
All of this is captured in a #green#silk#scarf.
