This summer, I decided to focus on a specific set of postures and inversion each month. For June/July, I focused on teaching a variety of arm balances leading up to Forearm Balance or Pincha Mayurasana. Not only did I witness my students attempt an inversion they've never done, I saw some succeed the very first week! And teaching it consistently improved my hang time and strength in the pose.
Next month, we will be focusing on backbends leading up to Handstand and Scorpion Handstand as the inversion of the month #yoga
