(Part 2: Restaurant and Pool) ………………………… For #WanderingWorkingWomen like my friends and I, a little luxury sometimes doesn't hurt. Our experience in Astoria Palawan in totality is Great.
Astoria Palawan is a beautiful resort located an hour to the north from the city center of Puerto Princesa. It is Astoria Hotels and Resorts’ latest addition to its growing portfolio of luxury leisure properties (other are in Ortigas, Boracay, and Bohol). ………………………… Their pool is just right by the restaurant. So you can definitely order some refreshments while taking a dip; or perhaps choose to eat your meals on the poolside. The pool size is fair enough. Kiddie pools are on both ends so if you have a kid, you don't need to worry. Also, the pool is heated. It is definitely conducive for night swimming.
The restaurant is very classy and the crew there are all very warm and hospitable. The food is truly great and the price is just right. I actually didn't expect it was at a normal rate since most resorts I have been to try to monopolize and bank on the fact that you've nowhere else to go due to their location. There was only one thing missing, the peanut/curry sauce of the chicken satay (Malaysian grilled chicken on a stick with a delicious sauce). Please note that without that sauce, it's simply chicken barbeque as we know it in the Philippines.
